Adjustments

How to correct a settlement after it has gone out.

For operators · 3 min read

When an owner raises a question about a statement, you correct it with an adjustment rather than by editing the settlement that was already sent.

Making a correction

  1. 1 Open the period and review the line items with the owner.
  2. 2 Add an adjustment — an amount and description that applies to the next (or a chosen) period.
Note: Corrections are additive: a fix is recorded as a separate adjustment, so the original settlement and its history stay intact and auditable. The acknowledgement log captures who accepted, when, and from where.
